@GaryMarcus @willie_agnew IMO, also important for folks in technical AI governance to acknowledge the concerns here.

Finding consensus needs to go both ways. A shortcut of recommending neat technical implementations while not integrating advice from other affected/experienced people is bound to go wrong.

Do you work in technical AI governance? If you want to make sure you鈥檙e arriving at policies that are robustly good and not inadvertently counterproductive and causing harms, first please listen to and find consensus with concerned stakeholder groups.
