The biggest thing holding back the US from having more independent parties is the Democratic Party kicking them off the ballot and doing all it can to kill them.

Jill Stein has helped the Green Party to persist and win 1400 elections, the US’ most successful indy left party.

I’m not kidding when I tell you that Jill Stein is a major reason as to why we don’t have viable third parties. She has poisoned the well and made choices that only benefit her while doing no meaningful work to build a real movement in over a decade. A true spoiler grifter.
