@GaryMarcus @Grady_Booch It's largely because Grady knows such a lot about software, that he can't see anything in terms of anything else, especially psychology, that he effectively knows nothing about AGI worth listening to.

AGI might – or might not — arrive by 2045. (@Grady_Booch thinks it won’t happen this century.)

But the thought that the wealthy will give up their private islands and political power that they have gained with their money is just … absurd.
