@dromanocpm Missy Cummings is a great researcher and would have said the same things about Tesla either way. (note that this is from four years ago). but yes i would love to see the world care more about potential conflicts of interest.

@GaryMarcus I'm curious your thoughts on the ethics around researchers being on the board of one company while thrashing competitors under the guise of "research". In my opinion, doesn't seem ethical, and papers she is on should contain disclosure.

For those wondering whether Missy Cummings, the Duke U. prof who recently “published” a paper trashing Tesla’s autonomous driving implementation under the guise of “research” — while being paid by an ADAS competitor — has a history of attacking Tesla, wonder no more!
