@GaryMarcus @PrblSing It is an "if" statement. He said that if ASI is achieved and advanced robots can perform laboratory tasks, then in 5 years, we should be able to accomplish that. the bet should be set for 5 years after ASI?

@PrblSing There is no serious thought behind those projections, I guarantee it. He simply has not factored in the lab work.

We have to remember that Dario Amodei is not a hype-guy. He is a serious scientist. His words carry weight.

Doubling the lifespan would probably amount to around 140 years. In 5 years already, mind you!

So where will we be in 10 years'…
