@GaryMarcus @littmath My son and I have both been coding with Copilot this week and both had the experience of it invisibly changing working code that was unrelated to the part we were working on - while it was assuring us that the code was now working properly.

Had a sort of a funny experience with OpenAI’s Deep Research tool, which I wanted to share since I think it reveals some of the tool’s strengths and weaknesses.

The statement 'Omg' is a lighthearted and informal reaction to a conversation about experiences with AI tools. It does not engage substantively with the public issues being discussed, such as the reliability and transparency of AI systems.
