@marwilliamson It's the mark of people who act on impulses, free of conscience in their actions and devoid of reason about the vital importance of employing the best people to serve it's citizens. Whatever pathology fits behavior like that, go with it.

Summarily firing people is bad enough.

Gutting agencies that are necessary to people's safety, health and well-being is bad enough.

But firing people who have had stellar performance reviews, telling them that their work was inadequate and below par is just cruel.
