It’s true. I’ve changed my mind about a lot of things as I’ve gotten older. But my youthful opposition to foreign wars has, after nearly 25 years of Middle East disasters, grown stronger. Opposition to military intervention abroad by Americans on the left & right is inspiring.

This is coming from someone who was on the FAR left at one point. @shellenberger is certainly no "right-winger" now. But he's the type of intellectual voice for sanity that is so important to take back our country. This is what "America First" means in its broadest definition.

Healthy relationships depend on mutual respect. Ukraine and Europe don't respect us; they look down on us. America never had any obligation to protect Ukraine. And now we're asking why we should continue to spend our money, and put our lives on the line, to protect Europe.
