@Laygarayr @GaryMarcus Well, OpenAI as a company might eventually go bankrupt, but LLM models themselves aren’t going anywhere—the only thing that might change is the landscape of players. Even now, countless product solutions across tens of thousands of products are already built around LLMs.

@itheasus @GaryMarcus As soon can be too late. Investors will start to withdraw at some point if OpenAI and others keep losing billions. They are limits even to sunk cost fallacy.

@GaryMarcus I share your skepticism, but I wouldn't be that categorical. It looks like the bubble really might burst loudly over time, but as soon as there are ways to get the necessary computing power for training and processing requests cheaply, everything will shift again.
