The lies about hallucination being solved any day now have gone for years. Yet hallucinations are UP in OpenAI’s latest models.

Perhaps model collapse has some come? Certainly we haven’t seen a principled solution, yet.

Yesterday o3 and some other models hallucinated as per usual source papers, KPIs, case studies and more for me. Over 70% of text generated as a summary of findings was hallucinated. They provided correct links, scrubbed headlines correctly, but the content within…hallucinations
