@rizzn you really can’t stick to what either or i said.

the point is that skilled programmers can use all kinds of tools (high level languages, IDE’s etc) but that the notion that you can use these tools to build complex systems without experience debugging etc is absurd.

@GaryMarcus Let's get real about half his examples: Saying that Visual Basic (which is, really, Visual Studio, which is now VSC) didn't stand the "test of time" is asinine.

Most of the world's code funnels thru VSC or a derivative.

@GaryMarcus It's an impossible (and therefore useless) example as the idea of vibecoding has been a viable practice for a few months. There is no "test of time."
