@daganshani1 I think AGI is a decade or more way but there are many routes to catastrophe that come from accidents or misuse of unreliable AI that is not well aligned with human values if it is overused, which is exactly where we are headed.

ChatGPT is not AGI but it was a dress rehearsal - to see if we would be able to stop a runaway train if it were to arrive.

Humanity failed that dress rehearsal.

We didn’t stop the train. We gave more money and power to the train manufacturers, and told them, don’t worry about

By the time you want to pause AI, it will be too late.

Racing until we can smell superintelligence then pausing is NOT A REALISTIC PROPOSAL, it is a FANTASY.

I don't understand why people don't get it.
People in AI safety especially.
Quick way to lose a lot of my respect.
