4.5 wasn't a reasoning model, it wasn't meant to be the next big thing; not on it's own.

And that development is going so fast that people barely have time to stop and truly use the current models before better ones show up doesn't mean "diminishing returns" it

toldya. part of diminishing returns is that the slightly improvements in returns are no longer worth the cost.

After the initial sugar rush, expensive models end up getting little or no usage.
