@GaryMarcus @bennpeifert @sama You can ask around. They aren't making a loss on inference specifically. Companies like cursor are.. and this is because they buy API credits and are trying to scale real fast

Most of the money is burnt on compute for research

Deepseek was profitable in the first month, I think

I don't think they are making a loss on inference costs

Also, GPUs are fixed assets, in the near long term

If you short it, you'd probably regret it. I'm not their biggest fan either
