US forces easily drove Saddam from power, then captured him in December, 2003.

The US nonetheless stayed in Iraq for many more years. The vast majority of American troops were killed after Saddam's capture, not before.

That's because simply detaining a leader is meaningless.

No one would’ve cared about the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan if they had been pulled off like this. It’s never been clearer that our young men in those 2 wars were sacrificed by cowards in DC. It could have been like this Maduro mission. Politicians chose forever $$$ wars instead.
